The Journal of Education in Middle East and North Africa (JEMENA) is an international peer-reviewed journal committed to advancing educational research with a primary focus on the countries within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). JEMENA aims to foster scholarly discourse and publish high-quality research findings that contribute to the enhanced understanding of educational theory, policy, and practice specific to the MENA region. The journal serves as a bridge for sharing educational developments and innovations between MENA and the global community, promoting an interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-cultural insights.
JEMENA welcomes submissions that explore diverse educational issues at all levels—from early childhood education to higher and adult education—particularly encouraging work that offers concrete solutions, innovative policy analysis, and rigorous theoretical contributions that drive the educational agenda forward. The journal is keen to include studies employing qualitative, quantitative, mixed methodologies, and particularly action research, which focuses on practical interventions aimed at solving specific educational problems.
Published biannually, JEMENA invites research articles, book reviews, editorial commentaries, and guest articles. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, curriculum development, teacher education, education in conflict and crisis contexts, technology integration in education, and comparative studies that link JEMENA educational practices with global trends.
